New Record for Corporate Angel Network

Charity Flies 275 Cancer Patients to Treatment in June

White Plains, NY—July 10, 2007—Corporate Angel Network, the national public charity which provides free air transportation for cancer patients traveling to treatment using empty seats on corporate and fractional aircraft, arranged a record-breaking 275 patient flights in June. The previous monthly record of 257 flights was set in 2006.

“We couldn’t have accomplished this without the generous support of our participating corporations, the diligent work of our wonderful volunteers, and the charitable backing we receive from the aviation industry.” said Bonnie LeVar, CAN’s President.

Corporate Angel Network arranges free flights to treatment for cancer patients using the empty seats on business aircraft. Since its founding 25 years ago, CAN has grown to include 530 participating corporations, five paid staff, and a team of 50 part-time volunteers who work with patients, physicians, corporate flight departments, and leading treatment centers to coordinate medical travel needs of cancer patients with the scheduled flight activity of participating corporations. To date, CAN has arranged more than 25,000 flights and currently provides more than 200 patient flights a month…2,500 a year.
