White Plains, NY; May 6, 2003 - Corporate Angel Network, a national public charity whose sole mission is to arrange free flights for cancer patients to treatment using empty seats on corporate jets, announced today that Limited Brands is the recipient of this quarter's Corporate Angel Award.
Established in 2001 by ChevronTexaco and Business & Commercial Aviation magazine (B/CA), the quarterly award recognizes corporations for outstanding dedication and service to cancer patients through their participation in Corporate Angel Network.
The Corporate Angel Award honors Limited Brands and its flight department for devoted and highly responsive service to cancer patients. Since joining in 1999, Limited Brands has been very active, transporting countless men, women and children to cancer treatment centers across the country. ChevronTexaco is recognizing Limited Brands with a full-page advertisement in the May issue of B/CA, $5,000 worth of ChevronTexaco aviation fuel, and a plaque commemorating the award.
Timothy P. Stehle, Director of Flight Operations, acknowledged the award, saying, "On behalf of the entire Limited Brands Flight Department, I am honored and gratified to receive this recognition. We're happy to contribute to the success of such a great program."
