210 Flights Arranged for Cancer Patients in October

White Plains, NY, (November 6, 2003)-For the second time this year, Corporate Angel Network broke their own record for the number of cancer patients they were able to fly to treatment. The national public charity that provides free air transportation for cancer patients traveling to treatment by using the empty seats on corporate jets was able to arrange 210 patient flights during the month of October, up 17% from the previous record high of 180 set earlier this year.

"We were able to help more patients in October than ever before, said Peter Fleiss of Corporate Angel Network, thanks to the generosity of our participating corporations, the fortitude and enthusiasm of our volunteers, and the help of our friends in the aviation industry. We salute and thank them all for their outstanding support."

Founded in 1981 and based in White Plains, New York, Corporate Angel Network, a public charity (www.CorpAngelNetwork.org), now includes 500 participating corporations, along with a team of 60 part-time volunteers and six paid staff who work with patients, physicians, corporate flight departments, and leading treatment centers to coordinate medical travel needs of cancer patients with the business flight schedules of our participating corporations. Corporate Angel Network typically transports about 160 cancer patients a month and recently flew it's 17,000th patient.
