GULFSTREAM CELEBRATES 25-YEARS OF SUPPORT FOR CORPORATE
ANGEL NETWORK
New Logo Commemorating Anniversary Unveiled During
Ceremony
SAVANNAH, Ga., Feb. 27, 2007 – Gulfstream President
Bryan Moss, Corporate Angel Network Chairman Randall Greene and
Executive Director Peter Fleiss yesterday celebrated 25 years during
which the business-jet manufacturer has supported Corporate Angel
Network (CAN). Together, they unveiled a newly designed logo affixed
to a Gulfstream G150 business jet during a ceremony at the Gulfstream
Aerospace headquarters in Savannah. The new logo commemorates Gulfstream’s
long-term support of Corporate Angel Network, a non-profit organization
that arranges free travel on corporate jets for cancer patients
seeking treatment.
“We are grateful for the 25 years Gulfstream has
supported our mission,” Greene said. “By encouraging more than 1,000
of their customers to consider becoming a Corporate Angel, Gulfstream
has provided an invaluable conduit between our organization and
Gulfstream corporate jet owners.”
From now through the end of this year, the commemorative
logo will be displayed on the exterior of Gulfstream’s demonstrator
aircraft and projected on the screens of their in-cabin entertainment
systems. Gulfstream demonstrator aircraft are used for customer
flights to better acquaint the customer with the aircraft model
and its performance capabilities.
“By participating in Corporate Angel Network, companies
have the opportunity to help their local communities with minimum
impact to their operations,” Moss said. “CAN does most of the work
and because patients are matched to flights that are already scheduled,
there are no additional costs.”
CAN arranges flight travel for patients by contacting
participating companies that operate corporate aircraft. Today,
more than 530 corporations participate in the program, including
Gulfstream’s parent company General Dynamics (NYSE: GD). Founded
in 1981, CAN currently transports more than 200 cancer patients
a month and has provided more than 25,000 cancer patient flights.
